I promise you I really have TRIED and DO THESE CONSISTENTLY and they work!
I’d like to share some of my beauty hacks & routines! You might be shocked. They are so simple and effective, and I promise you I really have TRIED and DO EACH OF THESE CONSISTENTLY.
Even when I get bored and explore new things, I will always come back to these old tricks because they work wonders.

Exfoliator
I have been using the Amway’s Artistry Facial Scrub since like forever! Like really, I use it since primary school (you know, when puberty hits). This particular product in the picture has been discontinued, but now I use the latest Artistry Signature Select Polishing Mask. It cost about RM144 but last for years! My last bottle in the picture was used for four years!
- I also have this microfiber cloth for make-up remover and exfoliation. I am SUPER IMPRESSED! Yes, SUPER. So when I heard about TAKEitoff, I didn’t believe it. Remove make up with just plain water seems too good to be true. My husband got it for me as a present, so I tried anyway.
OH MY GOSH… You know how hard it is to remove brow fillers and some eyeliners? With this, they’re wiped clean. Like gone, baby gone!
I also have peeling nose whenever I squeeze out my whitehead (eeew, I know) and even the scrub can’t get rid of those. Now they’re gone, baby gone!
Just trust me, this, you gotta have. It’s not even expensive and can be washed and reuse multiple times.

Cinnamon + Honey mask
I learn this cinnamon trick from a friend who has such gorgeous and glowing skin. This will sting a bit, but it’s really good if you have acne. So let’s see how it works. Honey is a naturally antibacterial and moisturizing agent. Cinnamon is an antiseptic that can prevent and dry out pimples. If you wanna brighten your skin a bit, you can squeeze a little bit of lemon, but please don’t overdo it as it may irritate your skin.
Mix the ingredients, smooth in on a clean face, wait for 20-30 minutes and then rinse off.
*You need to use fresh cinnamon as the powdered ones sold at the supermarket are usually added with other ingredients. It won’t turn out well, i tried.
*If it’s too painful for you, try using less cinnamon.

Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is not just good for the tummy, it’s also good for the skin! ACV has antibacterial and antiseptic properties, and it also helps to balance pH of your skin. First of all, I’m not gonna lie that it doesn’t stink. But I got used to it and the smell will fade.
Prepping this requires a small spray bottle. You can get travel bottles from the pharmacy or Daiso/Yusbiso. Just add half water + half ACV in the small bottle. Use a syringe if pouring from big bottle to small bottle is hard. Make small batches and keep it in the fridge so it stays fresh. The coldness will help reduce pores as well.
Use this like a toner, which means AFTER cleansing. Every time before you use it, shake well. Either spray onto a cotton pad and wipe your skin gently or spray directly on your skin and pat gently. Avoid eye areas.
*If you feel like it’s too much smell or tingling, reduce the amount of ACV to water. Maybe start with 1 part ACV : 3 parts water.
It’s normal to have pimples sometimes, due to stress or hormonal changes. And if that happens, I always have this trick on my sleeve. The picture explains it all. But note that THIS IS ONLY FOR EMERGENCIES! You can’t do it too often as it will irritate your skin.
Once the pimples have dried, apply some good oil/moisturizers and exfoliate. Your skin will clear up and be smooth again.
*Be sure to use WHITE toothpaste, not those gel ones.
*If you have terrible acne problem, please consult with a doctor as you might need some other Medications.
So tell me if you have tried any of these. Comment down below if you have any questions or suggestion. Spread the love if you like this 🙂
